A compatible gas valve (gas cock) for auto-ignition built-in hobs, sold by our supplier as Type D for all hob brands.
It has a square metal body with a black ignition switch fitted behind the knob spindle. The switch has two spade terminals and triggers the spark when the knob is pressed in. The gas ports come with blue protective caps.
Replace it when it is stiff, the flame will not turn down or off, or the switch no longer fires the spark.
Check before you order: our Type C valve also has a switch but a different body. Book a hob repair and our technician will fit and leak-test it.
