Prestige's visual pressure indicator (blue) for aluminium Deluxe Plus cookers. As printed on the Prestige pack, it fits all Prestige aluminium Deluxe Plus cookers. The supplier's item name says it comes with its grommet, the ring that seals it in the lid.
Prestige explains how it works: the indicator rises above the lid when there is pressure inside and drops when the pressure falls to zero. So you know when it is safe to open the cooker. Replace it when it sticks, steam leaks around it, or the grommet is hard, torn or lost.
Check before you order: stainless steel Deluxe Alpha cookers take the red version (Prestige 60655). Older Deluxe Plus lids may carry a zero pressure device instead (60117), so compare with the part on your lid. Fit it only when the cooker is cold and empty.
