A 24 volt solenoid valve for RO water purifiers. Our supplier lists it as SLX. As in the photos, it has a white valve body with an inlet and an outlet port, a blue coil, and red and white wires with bare ends.
It sits on the purifier's water inlet. When the purifier runs, the coil opens the valve; when the purifier stops, the valve shuts the water off, so water does not keep running to the drain. Replace it when water keeps flowing to the drain with the purifier off, or no water comes in while the pump runs. A faulty SMPS or wiring can cause the second fault, so have it tested first.
