The FHP belt is the rubber V-belt that connects the motor pulley to the drum pulley in a table top wet grinder. It is a wear part by design — it absorbs the load shock when heavy dal or rice batter builds up in the drum, protecting the motor from direct strain. Signs the belt needs replacing: drum turning slowly or stopping under load, motor running but stones not rotating, burning rubber smell, squealing or slipping noise at startup, or visible cracks, glazing and stretch in the belt. This small-size FHP belt is made from high-tension rubber with reinforced cords, holding its grip and length far longer than ordinary belts. Replacing a worn belt promptly is the cheapest way to avoid motor burnout — a stretched belt slips, overheats the motor winding, and turns a small spare into a major repair.
