Preethi's 12 mm motor coupler, I.G type (Preethi part 41003496, the newer version). The motor coupler is the toothed piece on top of the mixer body, fixed to the motor shaft. The jar sits on it, and its teeth drive the jar coupler under the jar.
This one is white, with four curved teeth round a raised centre, as in the photo. Replace it when the teeth are worn, broken or melted, or the jar rattles and the blade does not turn while the motor runs.
Check before you order: compare the teeth with your old coupler. Preethi also makes a straight-tooth 12 mm motor coupler (4 TEETH, 41003495). Look at the jar coupler under your jars too; if its teeth are worn, replace it as well.
The coupler is the rubber or nylon drive piece between the motor shaft and the jar. It is meant to fail before the motor does, so it is the first thing to check when a jar spins slowly or slips.
