It fits around the inside rim of the lid and makes the pressure-tight seal. Replace it when steam leaks at the lid, the cooker is slow to reach pressure, or the ring is hard, cracked or loose.
Check before you order: this ring is for the Jumbo 7 litre, not the regular 7 litre Futura, which takes F10-16, the ring for 3.5 to 7 litres. The model name and size are marked on your cooker.
