Tramontina's whistle, the pressure weight, for the Aeion+ tri-ply pressure cookers. Tramontina's box names it the Aeion+ Universal Pressure Weight.
It sits on the vent of the lid. When the cooker reaches its working pressure, the weight lifts and lets out steam: that is the whistle. Replace it when the whistle does not come or comes very late, steam leaks from it all the time, or it is damaged or lost.
Check before you order: it is a black knob on a steel base, as in the photo, and the box holds one weight. If a cooker keeps heating without whistling, turn off the flame, let it cool fully, and do not force the lid open.
