A heavy PVC coupling for taking water from the house line to an RO purifier. As in the photos, it is white, with a male thread at one end, a female thread in a hex body at the other, and a small threaded side port.
The coupling fits at a threaded point in the water line, such as behind a tap, and water still flows straight through it. The side port takes the purifier's inlet valve, which feeds the purifier's pipe. Replace it when it leaks, the threads are worn, or the body has cracked.
Check before you order: match the main threads with your water point, and the side port with the thread of your inlet valve. Wrap the threads with Teflon tape before fitting.
The coupler is the rubber or nylon drive piece between the motor shaft and the jar. It is meant to fail before the motor does, so it is the first thing to check when a jar spins slowly or slips.
