A 3/8 inch PVC ball valve for RO water purifiers. As in the photos, it has a male thread on one side, a push-fit socket for 3/8 inch pipe on the other, and a blue lever.
It is used as an inlet valve on purifiers or water lines that use 3/8 inch pipe: screwed into a threaded port, it opens or shuts the water with a quarter turn. Replace it when it leaks, the lever is broken, or it does not shut fully.
Check before you order: 3/8 inch pipe is wider than 1/4 inch pipe, so check the size printed on your pipe. For 1/4 inch pipe, see our 1/4 inch PVC valve. Wrap the thread with Teflon tape before you screw it in.
Valves and whistles regulate pressure. A stuck or corroded one is the commonest reason a cooker either will not build pressure or vents at the wrong point.
