An elbow for the pre-filter bowl of an RO water purifier, for 1/4 inch pipe. As in the photos, it is white, with a male thread on one side that screws into the bowl's cap and a push-fit socket on the other that takes the pipe. Blue locking clips are shown with it: a clip fitted behind the collet stops the pipe being released by accident.
Replace it when it leaks at the thread or at the pipe, the thread is cracked, or the pipe no longer grips.
Check before you order: this elbow has a threaded end. For a plain stem end, see our Aqua elbow, and for the booster pump, our pump elbow. Wrap the thread with Teflon tape before you screw it in.
Coating that has gone, or a base that has warped, changes how the appliance cooks. Replacing the vessel is far cheaper than replacing the appliance around it.
