Welcome to KitchenPro Service ("KitchenPro", "we", "us"). We care about your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and controls you have. It applies to our mobile app (Android and iOS) and our website.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account & Profile Information
- Name, email address, and phone number — used to create and secure your account.
- Profile picture (optional) — if you add one, it is stored on our servers and may be shown to the technician or customer you are matched with during a service.
1.2 Location Data
With your permission, we collect your device location only while you are actively using the app (foreground). We do not collect your location when the app is closed or running in the background.
- Customers: location is used to set your service address, find nearby technicians, and show you live tracking of your technician during an active booking.
- Technicians (Workers): while you are online and on an active job, your location is shared in real time so the customer can track your arrival. You can stop this at any time by going offline.
If you decline location access, you can still use the app and set your service address manually on the map.
1.3 Camera & Photos
With your permission, we use your camera and photo library so you can upload a profile picture, capture photos for a service request, and scan QR codes. Photos you upload are stored securely (Google Firebase Storage) and used only for the related service or your profile.
1.4 Device & Technical Information
- Device details such as model, operating system version, and app version.
- A device identifier used to keep you signed in, secure your account, and diagnose problems.
- Push notification token — if you enable notifications, we store a device messaging token so we can send you booking and service updates.
- App & usage information — services requested, bookings, wallet and transaction history, and basic in-app activity used to operate and improve the service.
1.5 Security & Fraud Prevention
To protect your account and our platform we use Google Firebase App Check (which uses the Play Integrity API on Android and DeviceCheck on iOS) to verify that requests come from the genuine app, and we run a device security check to detect rooted or jailbroken devices. These checks help us prevent fraud and abuse.
2. How You Sign In
You can sign in using your phone number (a one-time SMS code), your email and password, or Google Sign-In. If you use Google Sign-In, Google shares your name, profile picture, and email address with us to create your account. We request only basic profile and email access.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
- Connect customers with service technicians and enable live tracking.
- Process bookings, wallet balances, and transactions.
- Send booking confirmations and service-status notifications.
- Keep the platform safe and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Provide customer support.
We do not use your personal data for advertising, we do not show third-party ads, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Information
- With your matched technician or customer: the contact details, service address, and location needed to complete the booking.
- Service providers: we use Google Firebase for app hosting, authentication, push notifications, storage, and app integrity, and a payment processor to handle transactions. They process data only to provide these services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and platform.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and data in any of these ways:
- In the app: open your Profile and choose "Delete Account".
- On the web: visit our Account Deletion page.
- By email: write to privacy@kitchenproservice.app.
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, saved addresses, and login credentials, and we anonymize or delete remaining records except where we are required to keep them by law. Any unused wallet balance is forfeited on deletion.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
7. Children's Privacy
KitchenPro Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Effective Date" above.
