Panasonic's jar lid, Panasonic part no. AVE09-193. As in the photos, it is a clear lid with a raised centre and a locking tab. The words Hold lid and switch on are moulded into it, like the lids on Panasonic's AC series jars.
The tab locks the lid along the jar's handle. Replace the lid when it is cracked, or the tab is broken and the lid no longer locks. The mixer's safety lock needs the lid locked before the motor will start.
Check before you order: Panasonic's jars come in different sizes, so compare the diameter and the tab with your old lid. Panasonic has not published which jar takes AVE09-193. Our photos show the lid without a rubber gasket, so keep your old gasket if it is sound.
A cracked or loose lid is a splash and a spill risk, and on a pressure appliance it stops the unit holding pressure at all.
