The 1.5 litre jar is the wet grinding jar: idli and dosa batter, coconut chutney, gravies, purées, juices, shakes and large-quantity masalas. It carries the heaviest and wettest loads on the machine, which is why its blade wears out first. Replace the set when grinding takes noticeably longer or leaves the batter coarse, when the blades are visibly blunt, chipped, bent or rusted, when the blade wobbles or the jar rattles during use, when the shaft feels rough or seized turned by hand, when the knob no longer tightens firmly, or when the jar has started leaking from the base. Sharp, precision-set stainless steel blades matched to the original angle and pitch, so grinding performance returns to what it was when the machine was new. Rust-free construction rated for daily wet grinding. The knob is moulded to the original thread specification so it torques down evenly and holds the assembly tight against the jar base — the seal only works if the knob clamps properly. Direct fitment — no drilling or modification needed. Unscrew the old knob, lift out the old blade, wipe the jar seating face clean and dry, seat the new blade with the gasket flat and untwisted, and tighten the new knob down firmly. Test with plain water before your first proper grind.
