Manufactured from high-grade wear-resistant material that transfers full motor torque to the jar while absorbing shock during heavy wet and dry grinding, protecting both the motor shaft and the jar base from jerk damage and keeping running noise low. Replace when the jar slips or spins freely, the mixer runs but does not grind, there is a rattling or knocking sound from the base, or the teeth on the old coupler are cracked, chipped or rounded off — a worn coupler is the most common cause of power loss in a mixer that otherwise runs normally.
