The sintered construction is porous by design and holds oil within the metal itself, releasing a thin lubricating film onto the motor shaft as it heats up during running — this self-lubricating action is what keeps the shaft turning smoothly without external greasing. Precision-machined 20mm bore supports the motor shaft in true alignment, absorbing radial load during heavy grinding and keeping the armature centred so it does not rub against the field coil. Wear-resistant bronze composition withstands the high RPM and heat cycling of continuous Indian kitchen use. Replace when the motor is running noisy, humming or squealing, the shaft has developed play or wobble, the mixer is heating up quickly, or the shaft is scoring — a worn bush left unchanged will eventually damage the armature and the complete motor. Recommended to replace bushes in pairs (top and bottom) for correct shaft alignment. Fitting requires motor dismantling and must be carried out by a qualified service technician.
