Bergner's body handle for the Argent Avinash, Bergner's tri-ply stainless steel inner lid pressure cooker. The Bergner pack lists all four sizes: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 5 litre.
It is the long handle on the cooker body. It comes as two black Bakelite halves that screw together, with two screws and two nuts, as in the photos. Replace it when it is cracked, burnt or loose, or when the lid and body handles no longer line up.
Check before you order: it is only for the inner lid Argent Avinash. The 3.5 and 5 litre Avinash also have a side handle, sold separately (SPR-131). Bergner part no. SPR-132.
A cracked handle on a hot vessel is a burn waiting to happen. Handles are bolted on, so a swap takes minutes and restores full use.
