Butterfly's Senior 'R' gasket: the black nitrile rubber sealing ring for Butterfly Standard and Standard Plus aluminium cookers of 7.5, 10 and 12 litres, and for the 5.5 litre senior pressure pan. The pack says Senior 'R' and food-grade nitrile rubber.
It fits into the rim of the lid and seals it when the cooker is closed. Replace it when steam leaks from under the lid, the cooker is slow to whistle, or the ring is hard, cracked or stretched.
Check before you order: the 5 litre Standard takes the Junior 'R', and the 2 and 3 litre take the Sub Junior 'R'. Stainless steel Blueline cookers of the same sizes take the Senior 'U' instead.
