Butterfly's Sub Junior 'U' gasket in black nitrile rubber, for Butterfly Blueline and Curve stainless steel cookers of 2 and 3 litres and the 2.5 litre sub junior pressure pan. The pack says Sub Junior 'U' and food-grade nitrile rubber.
The ring goes into the lid rim and makes the seal that lets the cooker build pressure. Change it when steam escapes around the lid, the cooker takes much longer to whistle, or the ring has hardened, cracked or loosened.
Check before you order: Butterfly also makes the Sub Junior 'U' in green silicone. The 3.5, 4.5 and 5 litre Blueline take the Junior 'U', and the 2 and 3 litre aluminium Standard cookers take the Sub Junior 'R'.
