Ultra's Duracook Junior gasket: the black rubber sealing ring for the larger Ultra Duracook stainless steel pressure cookers. Ultra's pack says it suits all Duracook models from 3.5 litre to 8 litre. Spares sellers also list it for the Duracook Handi and Duracook Diet of 5.5 to 8 litre.
The gasket sits in the rim of the lid and seals it, so the cooker can build pressure. Replace it when steam leaks from the edge of the lid, the whistle takes much longer than before, or the ring has gone hard, cracked or loose.
Check before you order: the 2 and 3 litre Duracook takes the Duracook Mini gasket. For the Duracook Triply, Ultra packs a separate translucent gasket.
