Butterfly's Junior 'U' gasket: the black nitrile rubber sealing ring for Butterfly Blueline stainless steel outer-lid cookers of 3.5, 4.5 and 5 litres. The pack says Junior 'U' and food-grade nitrile rubber.
The ring sits in the lid rim and seals the lid against the body, so pressure can build. Change it when steam escapes at the edge of the lid, the cooker is slow to whistle, or the rubber has hardened, cracked or stretched.
Check before you order: the 2 and 3 litre Blueline and Curve take the Sub Junior 'U', and the 7.5, 10 and 12 litre take the Senior 'U'. Butterfly also sells this Junior 'U' size in green silicone. Aluminium cookers take 'R' or 'F' gaskets instead.
