Hawkins' lid handle with rivets (code LPH): the black plastic grip on top of the lid. Hawkins lists it for Hawkins cookers from 1.5 to 8 litre (Tall), including the Classic, all Contura, Hevibase and Miss Mary, and for Hawkins Stainless Steel cookers up to 7 litre. The box is marked Version 2013; Hawkins' parts list gives it for all versions.
Replace it when it is cracked, burnt or broken. A little play in the lid handle is normal, says Hawkins: it helps the lid centre itself and seal.
Check before you order: 8 litre Wide to 12 litre cookers take the larger LPHI handle. This handle is riveted to the lid, and Hawkins lists only the gasket, body handles, safety valve and vent weight as owner repairs. Book a pressure cooker service and our technician will fit it.
