About this part
- Fits Pigeon aluminium pressure cookers, 5 litre
- Seals the lid so the cooker builds pressure
- 2 and 3 litre ring listed separately
Pigeon's rubber sealing ring (gasket) for its 5 litre aluminium pressure cookers.
The ring seals the lid so the cooker can build pressure. Replace it when steam hisses out round the lid or the cooker takes much longer to whistle. Also replace a ring that is hard, cracked, or so stretched that it slips out of the lid.
Check before you order: this ring is only for Pigeon aluminium cookers of 5 litre. Pigeon's packed gasket for its 5 litre aluminium outer-lid cookers is called Junior and measures 240 mm across. The 2 and 3 litre aluminium cookers take a smaller ring, and Pigeon sells separate gaskets for its stainless steel cookers.
A gasket is a wear part with a service life. Once it hardens or flattens it stops sealing, and on a pressure cooker that means steam escaping around the rim instead of building pressure.

Rather we fitted it?
This is a part we fit rather than sell as a do-it-yourself job. Book a pressure cooker visit and the technician arrives with it, tests the appliance, and closes the job only once you confirm the work.

Pigeon Pegion Cooker 5 LTR Gasket - Inhouse — questions we get asked
How much is the Pegion Cooker 5 LTR Gasket - Inhouse?
₹80, and that is what you pay — the amount is restated before you confirm and nobody re-prices it after opening the appliance. Fitting, if you want it, is quoted separately and agreed first.
Will it fit my pressure cooker?
Gasket size follows the cooker litre capacity, not the brand alone. Check the number stamped on the base of your cooker before you order. WhatsApp a photo of the appliance and of the failed part, and we will confirm the match before you pay for anything.
Can I fit this gasket myself?
We do not supply it that way. A gasket is a wear part with a service life. Once it hardens or flattens it stops sealing, and on a pressure cooker that means steam escaping around the rim instead of building pressure. A technician brings it, fits it, tests the appliance, and you sign the job off before it is billed.
How soon can I have it in Bangalore?
It is in stock in Bengaluru. Parts we hold locally usually reach a job the same day, and most repairs booked against them close within 12 hours across the city.
Does the 5 litre size matter?
Yes. This one is listed at 5 litre, and on a pressure cooker the size is what decides whether it seats properly. Check the figure on your existing part before ordering.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. This part invoices under HSN 40169390, and a GST invoice is raised for the order — which is what a technician or a dealer buying for a workshop needs.
