The Hawkins IG gasket for the bigger Hawkins cookers. Hawkins prints the fit on the pack as 8 litre wide body to 14 litre. In Hawkins' parts list that means the Classic 8 litre Wide (Jumbo), 10 litre and 12 litre, the Hevibase 8 litre and the Bigboy 14 litre.
The gasket sits in the groove inside the lid and seals the lid against the body. Change it when the lid leaks steam at the edge, pressure builds slowly, or the ring has hardened, cracked or stretched.
Check before you order: look for IG 8L-14L printed on your old ring. The 8 litre Tall Classic uses the Standard Gasket, the stainless steel 8 and 10 litre cookers use the IGSS gasket, and the 18 and 22 litre Bigboy uses the Large Gasket.
